Owner of Trending Zimmerman penthouse shares inspiration behind the design
Annie Ombasi the owner of a trending house built on top of rental apartments in Zimerman, Nairobi has opened up on what inspired the design.
In an interview with Paxson TV, the nurse who is based between Kenya and the US shared
'I had this idea so I brought it to my builder and he told me it was possible to implement it.
He told me how long it would take and how much it would cost and we worked together.
I knew him from back in the day as he worked with my dad. That is how I met him."
How long did it take to complete the project?
"It has taken four years to complete the house. People just see the house but it is hard work.
I grew up in Zimmerman and that is what inspired me to buy a plot here. I wanted to be close to my childhood."
Why a house on top of the rentals?
"I just had this plot and I wanted to maximize on space. I wanted a house and I also wanted a house.
It's funny it's been trending, people are just mesmerized. There are many buildings like it but not many.
It has cost me millions to build this."
How big is the house?
"It's a three storey house. The house has four bedrooms a laundry room and a pantry."
